Name: Peter Gray Nationality: English DOB: 27/4/1967 Position: Founder, Director and Guide of Wilderness Wheels Morocco Raised next to a farm in what used to be County Durham, I learned to ride on farm and woodland from age 11 and graduated through various machinery to a Maico 250 twinshock. An apprenticed electrical fitter aged 16, I worked in Power Generation in the Republic of Ireland, Australia and the Falkland Islands. Newly married, we decided to do something different for a few years before getting stuck in the mortgage trap. 8 years later, we are still happily settled in Morocco.

Name: Brad Cairns Nationality: American DOB: 24/4/1969 Position: Partner/Associate and Guide I grew up in central Africa, where I learned to ride on my Dad's Yamaha DT175. The mud, sand and rocks of the rain forest tracks were great training for riding in all conditions. In 2001, after working in corporate America, doing the normal commute and 9 to 5 office job for a number of years, my wife and I decided to pack up and move overseas for a new challenge. We chose Morocco because of its proximity to Europe, stable economy and government, and because tourism and business actually work here. Six months after moving to Morocco, I met Peter and heard about Wilderness Wheels. I joined one of his desert tours as a client, and was bitten by the dirt bike bug once again. I joined Wilderness Wheels as a partner in 2003 and it's much more enjoyable than the 9 to 5 office job I had!

Founded in April 2000 , we were the first dedicated trail riding company to be established in Morocco. Over the past 6 years, we have grown from a one man business with 5 machines, to 2 co-directors with a staff of 3, and over 20 bikes, to become the largest operator in this currently expanding market. This is due mainly we believe to the high number of satisfied customers who have returned to Morocco for the excitement and flexibility of both our desert and coastal tours.
Having outgrown our old premises, we now enjoy a custom made workshop and showroom area of 160 m2 , which is still located at the east side of Ouarzazate, in the South of Morocco.

Our tours and services are used regularly by the following customers:
Supply of bikes and assistance to “SOS Children’s Villages” Morocco fund-raising tours.
Supply of bikes, guides and assistance to “Riders for Health” Morocco fund-raising tours.
Supply of assistance and back-up for “BMW Motorad” Morocco tours.
Supply of bikes, guides and assistance to Mcraft (Sweden) Morocco "Mini-Dakar" Tours.

We remain primarily an agency which organises and runs off-road tours which can be enjoyed by novice or expert alike. Our desert tour especially, can be adapted to cater for complete off-road beginners, but can also be made challenging enough to satisfy even those who may feel they have “done it all before”.
Our services have been used by more than one Paris-Dakar entrant, whilst preparing for the race, and we enjoy an ongoing relationship with the Rallye Raid UK team.

In addition, we are able to supply a “bike rental and mechanic package” to other agencies who wish to bring their own clients and follow their own itinerary.
This service is at our discretion only, and is normally reserved for clients or agencies whose legitimacy is a known quantity, and also for returning customers.
